i think i may have got too many fish = (

i went to the stream today and went a little overboard

2 convicts 1 1/2 inch long

1 albino convict 3 inch

1 silver cichlid 3 inch

5 green and orange swordtails

also i noticed taht the fish are gettin into scraps every so often - is this cause there wild and getting used to captivity? or just cause theres too many

I would say so. the 2 small convicts alone would very soon need a bigger tank than a 20. the two 3 inch cichlids are too big already IMO, the only cichlids that i think should be in a 20 are dwarf cichlids like rams and apistogrammas.. the swordtails oughta have a bigger tank too. i would guess that the ones fighting are the convicts, cause they fight everything. If they were wild caught then you would do best putting them back where you found them, or in a bigger tank..you can find some smaller less demanding fish in the stream i'm sure.

i would stick to a pair of cons cuz a pair will beat up and kill any odd cons the rest seems ok oh if you dont kow what the silver cichlid is i would get it out

the cons are ok - that dam silver cichlid is pwning them all tho lol - i think hes part oscar - he has an oscar like head - thanks for the advice- my parents are gettin me a 125 gallon tank for my birthday july 28th so hopefully i can holdout till then
