Is My Albino Senegal Blind?

Ive heard that albino fish sometimes dont see as well as regular fish. Whenever I put his food in he'll swim up in the general area but if its right in front of his head he sometimes wont even go for it unless it taps his nose, he can eat but it takes him a while and it looks like hes searching for the food instead of seeing it and going for it.
and he doesnt have any diseases like cloud eye or anything

bichirs dont have a good eye sight, almost like they dont need it, they sense food through their nose. One of my sen lost one of her eye, but she still eat like a pig.

senegalus bichirs might as well be blind they have horrible vision. they hunt primarily by sense of smell
