The reason I posted this shot was to keep the focus of discussion on the shape of the head rather than pattern lol He does have the checkered pattern of ansorgii however a bit mor spaced out. Most ansorgii are usually being caught from tikinso mostly the more reddish brown as well as niger river the patternless ones with olive green base to grey base.
