is my auratus sick??

im worried about my auratus... :(
one of them is getting very pale, loosing its color and is dark... :cry:

what do i do? water params is very very good! .15 on nitrates b4 i do my water change. tank is 20 g only fish is 2 auratus and 2 kribs...

this is the 3rd day but he is still active as ussual still plating with his friends and eating very well... why is this happening its so weird for me!!

Hes not sick, just maturing. Males will become very dark, Mine turned almost all black. Females will retain there original colors. Hopefully you are getting close to spawning them.. Thats a fish i havent been able to breed yet because i ended up with 2 males,lol
 
They nailed it... changing color. It is no big deal relax, might have a male and female. If it is two males, you may end up with one. every time I try to add what I hope is a female, it kills the bigger male and then changes color. I also have trouble getting them to match up...
 
Definatly changing maturing and changing colors, but be carefull 20 gals is not enough for 2 aratus and the kribs will be the first to go to fishy heaven.

Thanks for the warning too il keep a close eye on them and the kribs and myt relocate them if needed. :)

mine gets almost jet black..sometimes my female changes color too.. :D
