NEW YORK
Hello,

I have four convicts, I have a small structure in my tank that they can go in and such, one convict stays in there most of the time and only comes out to chase the 2 other convicts away, The two bigger ones are in the structure right now, but if the 2 smaller ones comes near they get chased away, is this a sign of breeding?

Thanks
Matt

Sign of territory dispute...which means yes probably going to breed. With convicts just feed, give them water, and a cave and bam, babies. The hard part is finding homes for all the fish, most use them as feeders.

Im not exactly sure on how many eggs they can have, Ive personally had 50-100. For the best fry survival rate, feed baby brine shrimp. They will also take finally crushed dry foods if you don't want to deal with baby brine shrimp. Also, if you get some that hatch, dont feed untill about 72 hours...When they become free swimming and not just wigglers. Goodluck!

My male is 4" amd my female is 2" and when they started to breed they only had about 100 eggs but they have bred 5 times now and they have around 250-300 eggs and most of them survive. Just crush up flakes really fine til its like powder and thats what the babieseat. Good luck!!
