I've had this Endlicheri for about 4 years now, he didn't grow at all the first 2 years, but later he started getting fatter and growing a little... Here are som pics of him from 2 days ago (not so fat at the moment, had some problem with the tank and had to reduce the feeding a little bit). he's about 6-7 inches.

Ya it's a sort bodied or a semi short bodied. Or it might be a stunted captive bred.

Not growing for two years is crazy. I bought 3 endlis about six months ago at 2-3". One is now well over 12" other two are 8-10". Feeding shrimp and pellets

Okay, we'll see when he grows then. Got to be easier to tell if it's a SB when he's bigger i guess. And yeah, his growth-rate is pretty low, haha. Everyone said "well, they grow pretty slow". Thought it was weird they grew THAT slow...

lol. wild caught endli grow super fast. Around an inch a month. They can get from 2 inches to 14 inches at around a year.

IMO, it's not a short body or even semi short. It's just a normal CB bred endi. Abt it not growing... I had a CB endi that stayed at 8" for almost a yr. Gave him to a friend of mine, didn't eat for 3mths there. But once it started eating, it has grew 4" in 2 mths. Now it's at 12". I have no explanation for this. I guess it could be environment or water since the 2 of us fed the same thing to that endi. But it has stopped growing again. But eating like a pig according to his current owner.

I have nv seen a WC endi so small before, where did u get it? Any pics? I get my WC endis big so normally they dun seem to grow at all. I always believed CB endis grow much faster. But it seems the opposite might be true.

It's probably a SB due to bad genetics from captive breeding. CB endli tend to not grow pass 12"

Hmm okay, seems to be mixed oppinons in this thread... But this endli also didn't eat for about 3 months, about 2 years ago now. If i compare this endli to 2 other endlis that i had a while ago (that a friend of mine has now) they are just as long, but mine seems so much fatter and compact...Isn't there a way to tell if they are SB? like how far apart some fins are, or something?

I'll try to get pictures of my short bodied endli tonight if I remember, but yours doesn't really look like mine. Yours looks a little skinny and still has an elongated looking shape.
