Hey Guys,
need to know if my tank can handle a ray.
Its a standard 180, 6x2x2, temporary tank ofcourse, keeping it for another month of so till i upgrade to the 600.
On the 180 i have 4 canister filters
1. FX5 packed with bio media only, no sponge
2. FX5 packed with bio media and minimal sponge
3. Eheim 2075 packed with bio media and sponge
4.Rena Filstar XP4 packed with sponge only and one tray has carbon.
Also have a Koralia 4 for water circulation

i plan on adding media into the XP4 Tomorrow ensuring i have enough bio filtration. The Ray will arrive in 1 week so thats plenty of time for the media to settle into the XP4

Current Stockist has changed big time as ive downsized heavily.

15 inch Blood red Arowana
20 Inch Black Arowana
X2 14 inch cichla ( Orino, Azul)
14 Inch parachromis jaguar.

2 water changes a week at 50%, drip system getting installed in 2 weeks at 5gph an hour

If you are honestly updating to a 600 in a month, I would hold off until that tank is up and cycled. It's not that you don't have enough filtration, but I'd say as far as a 180 goes, your tank is about as stocked as it should get.

well thats the issue
the deal im getting on this ray is too good to wait for.
Im basically asking if my current tank is enough to support the fish mentioned above with the added 9 inch ray till December. Why December? cause a wall has to be taken down to get the tank in + cycling and the whole shabang.
I personally think with feeding cut down to 4 times a week it should be good but just wanted to be safe
