is my filtration sufficient?

fluval 205 and two 380 gph hob whisper filters its a 55 gallon with a 11" oscar 7" j.d and another 4" j.d oh yea i also got a diy powerhead filter goin on to 170gph tank has been running for about a year and a half with 20 gallon monthly water changes i know thats few too many but i havent had any illness or disease so far. anyways do you think i should add another canister filter with more gph like a snsun or jeebo from ebay or via aqua if any info is availible on these that would be awsome .so what do you think?
 
Ammonia = bio media
Nitrite = bio media
Nitrate = specialized media
Other organic wastes, water changes. There are somethings that filtration can't do, for everything else, there's water change.
 
filtration is not the problem here.
