Is my fish OK? (pics)

So last night, I heard my fish jumping around but was too lazy to get up to see what was going on. This morning I noticed his gills did not look so good. I am not sure if he just dropped some scales or if it is something more serious. Please have a look and offer your knowledge. Thank you on behalf of my fish and me.

Hmmm, pics did not come through.
Without the pics it sounds as if the fish bounced off something, if so just watch the areas for infections.
