I just purchased a gold nugget alittle over a week ago for my community/wife's/feeder ;) tank and I was just wondering if he is getting enough to eat from my tank itself??? I've been tossing in a few veggie wafers then the lights go out (right next to him at times) but he never seem to care, and then everyone else seems to find it and gobble it down. He looks good active during the day and very active at night, spending most his time on the glass (maybe eating the little colonies of planaria?)lol...but anyways maybe i'll got get some zuc tonite and try that...any opinons??? here he a photo of the lil fella

i swear its like crack to my plecos, they go crazy over it.

thanks

The gut and behind the eyes are two visual indicators of malnutrition. Both places will be drawn, or sunken in.

My Gibbicep's stomach is always rounded out.
I let it have a bit of natural algae and a lot of nice driftwood.

GN's eat 24/7 they require massive amounts of vegtable based food ...a few wafers just will not cut it. GN's do not do well in community tanks.

These plecs are omnivores, they require more than just veggies. I would add bloodworm, pellets, fresh veggies, etc. They will eat almost anything. Variety is the key.

im getting worried...i added a slice of zucchini and none of my fish ate it up after it being in there for 8hrs...not even my GN...now what???? I feed my other fish bloodworms and brine....
