ok. well i own two heaters, 1 of them is kinda old. and other is new.
one day i walked into my room (where my oscar's tank lies)
i touched the tank and noticed the water is very cold. But the light on the heater signaled that it was on. So i reacted quickly and added hot water into it and i went to go get a new heater from a local walmart(LOL). So when i took out the old heater i noticed that i kinda got rusted inside and had a tiny bit of water inside.
today as was cleaning my fish tank i noticed that the water was cold but the heater light was on. So I'm alittle confused.... I narrowed down to, two theorys.
1: Heater is broken
2: Blame the heater's temperature system ( the one where it notices that the water's temperature is low and auto. turns on and heats up the water.
but i really have no clue and i dont wanna risk my oscar's life. please help.
Thank you
