HONORURU, HAWAII!
Hey MFK!

well ive got a 4.5in IT that i purchased a couple weeks ago...and im just wondering if its eating habits are normal, and or how to get it to eat more.

its with a 3in convict and 2ea 8-10" L330's in an 85gal..

eats about 5 sinking carnivore pellets a day.
as far as i can tell it only eats the ones that are sinking...i.e. once theyve hit the ground, it has no interest in them...

are the sinking carnivore pellets too small for it or something?
i do soon plan to get some market shrimp for the guy.

anyway, thanks in advance for your help! here's a pic of my guy.

wow nice indo i like the markings sorry dont know how to help still a novice dat keeper

That's a good amount if it's eating it on a daily basis. I would expect quite a good growth rate if it keeps it up. Once it's bigger it will be able to fit more in it's stomach and the pellet count should go up. I would continue feeding it pellets if it likes them and not worry to much about the shrimp. If you think the pellets are to small then get the massivore and break them into smaller pieces.

Seems pretty normal. As long as it's eating, it's good:)

+1 Give that bud some time and she'll open up like a flower;).

It's not often u get dats that eat floating dry food, in my experience only a couple of dats have takenfloating sticks, compared to all the others that eat off the floor and whilst sinking.

5 carnivore pellets a day is fine for your tiger at that size.

If you get a chance to buy freeze dried krill, this stuff floats and my Tigers love it;)
.

thanks everyone!

some days it'll eat more or less...so i think its getting situated into the tank real well :)
kind of skittish, but then again so are the 2 L330 that are in there with it. Tank's in my bedroom so me or the gf are pretty much the only traffic they see.

i'll keep everyone updated with how he's doing!

and thanks for the food tips! soon i will try my frozen krill..
