IS MY JAR SHY ?

i was wondering if my jar is shy because everytime when ppl comes he always hides near the heater and the filter and doesnt move .

Sounds like he is shy. Most aros usually come out of there shell sooner or later and will come up to the tank and beg for food.

If you want him to come out, you should add some active dither fish to the tank, so he sees it is ok to come out in the open.

he comes out and eat and swims around but when i get close to the tank he hides

how long have you had him?.. ushually takes jars about 2 weeks to feel SLIGHTLY confortable with you.. and a month or 2 before they eat out of your hands

hes 4 inches i think and i had him for like 3 weeks maybe
