OK, so I went to the Baltimore aquarium this past weekend and in the Australian display there is like a 30"+ jar......I have had mine for 2+ years and got him when he was around 8-inches........he is only about 17 inches and fat.......he grew up for 6-months in a 55 gallon, moved to a 100 gallon, and has been in a 220 gallon for almost 6 months......can epect more growth, or is this it??.....BTW, he gets along with 5 silver dollars, 7 clown loaches a bala shark, 2 salvinis, 2 plecos and a catfish.....he's a big wimp!:grinno:

Jars grow pretty quick to the 16-17 mark. They seem to slow down after that. You should also take into consideration, that the jar was pobably wild caught and lives in a huge aquarium compared to your 220

Nope, he's a little person...
i have to agree it took 2 in half years to get that size. but im thinking a 30'' jar is maybe 7+ years old

I really want to see that 30+ jar!!! Anyone here has a jar that big?

About 17" jar after 2 years, your jar is at a much slower growth rate now so don't expect it to get longer anytime soon. Or that may even be as long as it gets! Just like us human, we normally only grow till a certain height and then stop and stay there (if not shrinking :))
