i would say female, if im not mistaken...the females have more of a dotted pattern around their eyes...while males have more of a splashed pattern..

Nice JD Lead20! from what I've read, females have more flecks around their jaw and they're a more blotchy pattern and males the flecks, in most cases, don't go beyond their eye. I love my JD.
