My Ornate is kinda bending the upper part of one of its swimming finn.
And It seems like its a bit smaller than the other "healty" finn.
I`ve noticed this for over a month ago, and it`s just getting worse since that.

Does anyone know why?, Or what coud cause this?

hmm im trying to visualize this.....is this affecting the fish in any other way? does it seem sluggish and sickly?

I cant take a pic right now, cus my camera is busted :( .

The fin may look a little bit thicker, but not much. Upper edge is curled, not exactly twisted

The fish looks fine, eating and swimming around as usual. The fin dont seem to bother him, but who knows. Sometimes he takes some "crazy" manouvers on the bottom of the tank. Almost like he is scratching him self in the sand. But I dont know if this has a connection to It`s strange fin. But I cant see any parasites or anything that coud cause the scratching.

He only lives with smaller, and less aggresive fish. Just waiting to end up in his jaws. So tankmates cant be the problem either.

early signs of ich maybe? I had tropical fish like tetras "scratch" themselves with the gravel the way u described...it was a really bizarre sight.

Have you had an ICH outbreak in this tank? Can you see any threadlike objects on it? What are its tankmates?

Id had some "white dots" (parasites) earlyer, I dont know the name for it in English  . But I got rid of them with a heat cure. The ornate didnt seem infected then, but I lost a pleco L-081 to it :( .

The tankmates are: 1. small Ancistrus
3. small danios (danio frankei)
1. 2,5" gurami

How much salt in an 20 gallon tank?
(yes I know its too small, gonna buy a bigger tank next week. The ornate is only about 4")
