1 male peacock, 1 other female peacock, 3 ob peacocks, 2 female kenyi, 1 male kenyi. What is the proper way to strip the female, or should I just let her go about her business?

yep. if its her first brood if you spook her she might swallow but for some reason when ever my ob is holding she always swallows after about a week so im sure shes still learning.

Since it is her first you should put her in a separate tank and let her spit them out on her own.

she won't eat while she's holding. the females will fast until they spit, usually around 3-4 weeks. That's partly why putting a holding female into a separate quarantine/growout tank is beneficial all the way around. When she spits the fry there wont be much trying to eat them, and also the female wont be harassed by the males immediately after spiting to breed again (this is the worst time of aggression in my tank), giving her time to eat and put some weight back on.
