is my pike gunna lay eggs?

my new pike keaps going into this cave and digging out all the rocks with its mouth and then it just sits in there almost all day. it pretty much only come out to eat. could it be pregnant?

I assume that you know your pike is female so it sounds like breeding behavior as far as SA/CA cichlids but i have virtually no experience with breeding pikes
