He has feces protruding from his rectum, it is brown. I have not seen a ray do this before. I noticed it about a 1/2 hour ago, but it may have been there longer. Is there a trick to inducing bowl movement?

Correction, it is not brown, it is red, and when I get a brief moment to see it when he swims against the glass I try to figure out what the hell it is. Will update as necessary, I wish I could just yank it out. It kind of resembles a sand worm.
The intestines are affected with either:

He could be prolapsing his rectum. I have seen it with a retic before. This thing hanging out is red. there is about 1/2" protruding and it is segmented at 1/4". this is a 6" disc ray.
