Hey guys, I have about a 10inch red Texas and about a 10 inch rose queen is my 125 gallon tank. I think the red Texas might be pregnant but I’m not sure. Here are some pics down below. Her stomach is very wide lately and they are both nesting and digging all the way down to the glass on one side of the tank. The rose queen is also acting very aggressive lately and protecting the red Texas but he sometimes chases her around. I had a 12 inch buttokofri in the same tank and they teamed up and tore him up and I had to take him out of the tank. They are constantly moving the rocks around also.

Looks like they are paired up for sure. Nice pair!!! On the Texas can you see a tube sticking down from her stomach? Usually around 1/4 of an inch long. When you see that tube come out of her you will know she is getting ready to lay her eggs. She looks huge! I hope she is carrying eggs. Are you familiar with the breeding process? Do you have a plan for the eggs if they get fertilized?

I’m sorta familiar with the breeding process but if you could update me on it that would be great. I currently have a 75 gallon tank setup for the eggs if they do get fertilized and hatch. Is there anything tips or tricks that I should know that are important. Thanks
