hello
i am intersted in starting a planted tank. i have a few plants in my small tank already but want to go to heavy planted and was wondering if my gear is ok for the job

Tank 15gallon bow front tank 500mm deep
Filter 2211 eheim classic
Lighting is 2x 11w 6500k power compact globes
1x 8w 6500k cf fluro globe
Substrate is crush garnet
No co2 root tabs. daily drops and flourish excel

what i want to know is if plants will do well in this tank and what plants am i limited to i.e will i be able to have ricca as a carpet etc?

thanks
Russ

Depends on the plants and the quantity of them. Sword plants are root feeders and need some sort of root fertilizer.

Not necessarily. Sword can do fine without root tabs.

For a tank that deep, your lighting is very low. Carpeting plants are going to be out of the question for the most part. Try your basic low light plants, anubias, crypts, aponogetons, java ferns, moss.

thanks.
what i meant to say was no co2 using root tabs, daily drops and flourish excel.
sorry if any misunderstanding
