Ive got
3 jack dempsies 8" ebjd, 5", 4"
1 parrot fish 7"
1 featherfin catfish 7.5"
1 bala shark 5.5"
1 datnoid 7"
1 giraffe catfish 6"
Which ones should I get rid of?
Please no being mean or rude.

I just want your opinion on who I should get rid of?

I thought I would get rid of the bala shark, and the featherfin. My problem with the featherfin is I just love her but she's so mean... she's over the top agressive. I wanna get rid of the giraffe catfish because they get 3' but I think I'm gonna hold that off for JUST a few months its still a baby at 6". Maybe when it gets 8-9". But I guarantee you I have researched this fish and he will be properly taken care of. Btw he's z temp resident.

My tank is full of plants. Substrate is that special flourish plant mix as well as standard gravel course and thin. 3" high.

I've had the same fish for the most part 2 years and I'm getting tired of looking at the same fish (except the giraffe ;).I'm looking for suggestions on new, active fish. I love catfish. I love breeding fish hence the dempsies. And I love most of all breeding catfish (not corys). I also love plecos but I don't like ones that hide from blindingly bright lights and hate green algae. I would love breeding bristolnose.

I'm tired of having the same setup for so long that's why I got into plants but still not changing anything :/.
Its just so hard to give fish away once you have them. I wouldn't get outa bed for 2 weeks when I gave away my pictus. I almost fainted when I saw him in a 10gal with neon tetras at my lfs.

Heavily planted: pennywort hornwort ludwigia swords water wisteria anubias crypts duckweed jungle val. (Edit: I don't think theirs any more duckweed I think the bala shark ate all of it I heard goldfish like them...)

260watt 4bulb t5ho on 9 hrs day dosing lots of excel as wells as trace elements diy co2 currently in progress but not finished.
Also have shipment of more crypts a lotus bulb aponogeton, and mosses, anubias etc. Should be coming in monday or something.
Also having a mild green algae bloom but I think I'm through its prime. Its slowly dying down thanks to my dense polishing pad I put in their.

Yes you are overstocked. I would get rid of...

Datnoid - will way outgrow the tank quick.
Giraffe cat - will out grow the tank
Bala shark - should be in schools
1 dempsey - a 4 foot tank isn't enough room for 3 of them. There will be territory issues

I agree with Runitis, in addition to the featherfin. I wouldn't get any fish to replace anything after getting rid of those either.

Thank you :]. im trading in the bala shark today. i made a mistake purchasing him in the first place last year. at the very least though i saved the bala sharks life i thought he was sure to die. he was pencil-thin compared to the others and he looked like the runt of the litter. hopefully he'll go to a good home. and the dempsies are not agressive they all live under the same roof in the driftwood. im still going to trade in one obviously but im trying to sex them first. they dont fight. but dont get me wrong i still agree one needs to go. the featherfin will be leaving shortly. the giraffe catfish will leave in a month or two. the datnoid is still to small and hes not outgrowing that tank anytime soon ;]. OH and one important thing: i greatly exagerated the size of my fish. i dont think anyone is over 7".

Post pics of them they are easy to sex.
