Is my tank ready for my fish yet

Is my tank ready yet? I’ve had it a week or so now and put an old filter pad into the filter and added minnows to help cycle it and none of the minnows have died and the water tests are cknung back as perfect as could be. I haven’t been able to test for ammonia but the minnows aren’t showing any signs of stress or poisoning so I assume there’s no ammonia

Aren’t all the inhabitants of the 55g moving to the 75g? Instant cycle means you can move your fish into the new tank the same day that you move the filter

dude, I told you how to achieve an instant in your other post when you first got the 75g so that you can move everyone after doing a testfill

you have to add all the filter media for an instant cycle, a portion of it only kicks starts it. Think about it. If 100 bacteria lives evenly across the media, how does a portion contain all 100 needed to support everyone in the 55g?

Sorry I didn’t remember what you said on another post. How long should I wait after adding the old filter to the 75 until I add my FH and everyone else? Should I wait a couple hours or could I wait overnight and put a bubbler into the 55 for aeration and add them when I wake up before work
