so 2 months ago i bought this driftwood because i always wanted to have a big piece a wood in my aquarium so in a few days the ph of my aquarium along with the hardness dropped and 2 of my fishes got sick with bloat and it was a lost battle and i lost my 2 africans both were 3 years old

what can i do to prevent or to stop this from hapening again?

do i am still in danger of losing more fishes?

right now the others fishes seems heathly eating and chasing around others no signs of bloated bellies

it all depends on how much the drift wood has been "purged". Any drastic drop in hardness or ph will effect the existing fish. With large regular water changes its usually enough to compensate for the drop so I would say your safe if you keep up the water changes,
