Its been warm here lately (:eek:50degrees:eek:) so i went back to the creek and found 2 peices of wood that i would say would be about $10 if i bought them in a store and the other three would be $30+ so i really want to keep them. some pieces are really squishy so idk if its rotting. so do you think it would be ok if i put it in my tank? right now theyre all soaking in a tub with minnows that i caught.:D(the minnows are still alive so i dont think its to terribly bad:confused::confused::confused:

They'll fall apart pretty fast if they're squishy. I would NOT use them.

+1 I could have sworn that the driftwood should be hard and slowly rot/give off tannins. Sounds like what you have has already started to break down.

I'm sorry, but it's been twelve hours and this is still funny to me.

Probably. Boil it well. Expect it to rot a little. Plecos like rotting wood better, anyway. That's what this wood is for, right? Or did you just want free decorations? Either way, if the species isn't a noxious sap type, you're probably okay.
