Is Myxocyprinus asiaticus a catfish?

i don't think it is but I can't help thinking it looks like one at this pic, even though it misses the barbles and everything :S

as much as I know Myxocyprinus asiaticus exactly belongs to Cypriniformes Catostomidae = "suckers".

Is this photo an asiaticus? Do they change dramatically when larger? Shape and colour are different from all the small ones I have seen.

I would not say so...

..I think they are still very interesting and it´s just a matter of individual taste, but objectively they really differ in appearance, that´s for sure.....
 
Hi-Fin Sharks are cool. I like them when they're small, but even when large, I find them interesting.
