Is obsidian rock ok in auquariums?

So at one of my jobs sites I found a ton of obsidian rock some very large pieces, I was wondering if anyone has put obsidian rocks in their tanks? I think it would look great when they are all shiny. Granted I would not have any sharp edges. Any feed back would help thanks

I have a few nice hunks of obsidian and have thought they would look nice in my aquarium... BUT, darn are those things sharp. I am pretty confident in them being non reactive as they are basically just glass. But my catfish or cichlids would probably cut themselves.

Dull down the sharp edges and you should be fine.

Hello; when I cut glass for a tank, I dull the edges by rubbing the piece on concrete or a cement block.
