Is pellets alone enough to sustain a proper diet for pbass?

I feed my kelberi hikari pellets. They get 6 meals bio gold pellets and 1 meal of hikari sticks a week. They get freezed dried krills once a month. I heard that pbass need meaty food such as feeders(I don't recommend), shrimps, and tilapia to boost growth. Problem is my kelberi won't eat any meaty food. Can my kelberi achieve full growth and optimum health living on pellets? Please share your experience.

Also interested in this. My Kels and Orinos eat massivore and carnisticks. My azuls and monos on the other hand will eat massivore, carnisticks, tilapia, and shrimp(i stopped feeding them this due to thiaminase)

Feeding meaty foods is never wrong! If your pBass don't eat meaty foods, just feed them the krill more regularly ;)

In my growout i have 2 bahias. one eats only shrimp one only eats massivore. Lets just say the one that eats pellets is growing way faster as well as having better colors. I sometime stuff pellets in the shrimp but someitme am too lazy. imo a varied diet is best. for my main tank i feed tilapia shrimp pellets smelt. my bass eat anything that hits the water in their i have a mono tem and orino. I have noticed the growth rate in there seems relatively the same and colors as well. I have noticed more changes upon installing better media into my sum to maximize my filtration. I believ filtration will get you the most and the best results food is important but i believe filtration is the most important.

I heard freezed dried krills is not all that healthy either. Some people here claimed the sharp spikes can cause digest problems in a fish. That's why I avoid feeding too much krills. I'll try starving him a week to get him on shrimps. Hehe

Troy-the bio filtration is good. I do weekly WC and try not to over feed.

i have two kelberis.. one is 4" that ate only pellets and the other is 6" that ate shrimps...

i trained the 6" to eat pellets and he's now taking both pellets and shrimps.

the 6" has grown to 7-8" and the 4" is now 6-7".

in conclusion, the little guy grew a lot faster eating only pellets.

yeah my pellet trained bass are growing alot faster than the ones that wont eat pellets
