Just picked up a Fire Eel and before I add him I want to give him somewhere to hide and my options are some brown 110mm PVC-U pipe or a cheesy tree trunk ornament with a face on whice will be laid down lengthways.
I use ceramic drain tile bought at a cement yard for 5 bucks for a 12 inch piece for my plecos. Also I found some cool burriito ceramic caves online. Google pleco caves.
