Ive been giving my tigerfish and knifefish silverside, I wanna start giving it to my armatus but is silver side ok to give them? its frozen so I thought it would be healthyer than live feederfish.

Fish cannot digest mammal fat. Is hard to cut out all fat from silverside? Also, if corned (salted) silverside, would worry about salt, coloring and preservatives including nitrites.

What are you talking about? Silversides are frozen fish.

And I've never had an armatus but I'm pretty sure it'll be fine. Frozen silversides are usually a nice safe alternative to feeders, and usually what I wean my fish that are really into live food onto before other frozen and pellets.

Yeah I was trying to think of what you were talking about haha. it said on the pacage for fresh and saltwater fish. but Just seeing what people would say.

Armatus along with all payaras and also tigerfish and knifes are fish eaters and in the wild its there main food source so there system should be hardy and beable to take it I would think.
