Is something wrong with my GT?

I was trying to take close ups of my GT's for help in identifying sex and I'm not sure if a bulging area and a thin string hanging out of the vent area is okay?
It was very hard to get them to cooperate for pics so I gave up and took a video. I've posted it here:

Any help on sex would be most appreciated as well

Looks male to me, an i have no idea about the thin string.

To be more clear, the first 7 seconds is one GT, and the rest of the video is another GT who has the bulge/string. I was told they were a mating pair but I can't tell if/who is male/female.
The string is gone now.
I thought maybe the bulge was eggs, but I'm new to this, I just don't know!

Well I am not a GT expert by any means but both look like males to me

That's what I've wondered! It's been so hard to tell the difference because they look so much alike. I do not want two males.
