Hey guys !

125 gallon with 6 parrots 3 inches each
And 5 clown loaches 3 inches and 10 tiger barbs

I am planning to move them to a 240 when they get bigger, but I was wondering if it’s currently too stocked. If it is not, can I add more clown loaches to grow them out?

filters are fx6 and ac 110, and I never miss a weekly 50%

everything seems very good now, but my tank won’t be ready till may so I want to make sure

I would say that’s overstocked. Loaches and parrots will take up a lot of space as get some more size.
Loaches are slow growers, but I would personally wait until you have a bigger tank.

You've got 3 months until you get your 240g. Those fish aren't going to grow that much in that time, especially your clowns. As long as you keep on top of your water changes and monitor your nitrate i'd say you should be ok. Hold off on getting more clowns until your upgrade is in place.

But if things go south with your planned 240g, then, in time, that 125g won't be big enough.

thank you for the advice I won’t add any more fish for sure than, I could set up the new tank now but with busy accounting season it’s pretty much impossible lol
