Is that targeted advertising I see?

Now that i'm forced to post using IE, im seeing ads that are relevant to me. For example, i currently see an ad for bird cages with a picture of a blue and gold macaw. Is this targeted advertising, or just a coincidence?

yea, there's been targeted ads since the ads started showing up. If you start searching for furniture, you'll see furniture ads (what happened to me). basically, what ever you've been searching for on your computer, you'll see on the ads, lol.

They aren't targetted all that well. I have never in my life looked for anything resembling a manicure in belfast.

yea targeting seems off for me, I keep getting Camera Ads... ahem... my fish dont need anymore pix

The adds are hit or miss really. When I used to play Diablo II and used to browse item sites there used to be banners advertising items for sale. Was wacky but meh. Atm it's just a google banner.
