Fish safe ? stupid question I know but I was thinking about tinkering around a little bit tommorow and build an idea that I have been thinking about for awhile.

I have used it to glue some rocks together and to attach plants but yeah, not the best bonding agent. You want to let it sit up for a couple days as well. Good luck!

Safe yes
Functional no

Silicone or Coral Adhesives (that will set while underwater)

Super-glue is fish safe and works well underwater if you get the gel kind. As soon as the glue hits the water it sets instantly.

O ok thanks everyone! yeah i was going to "try" and glue some plants onto some medium sized rocks so I could have some plants in my Oscar tank...... didn't work back to the drawing board will see if I can find some silicone or coral adhesive , shoot I think I got some get super glue will give that a try also :)

reason why hot glue does not work in water is that eventually it starts dissolving. I have found this out the hard way after spending many hours on a project only to have it fall apart a few weeks after submerged.

silicone glue - GE silicone 1

any cyanoacrylate - crazy glue, super glue

2 part epoxy glue
