Is the sand at petsmart any good?

I want to use it in my african cichlid tank.

There's nothing wrong with it, but if you shop around enough online and find a free shipping deal you can get it much cheaper, otherwise there are other options such as play sand and pool filter sand...I'm using PFS in my african tank without issues.

use playsand or pfs its safe just make sure u wash the playsand well.

It is okay and it is petsmart so you will pay a little more unless it is on sale.

Yeah its fine, but it's expensive. Pool filter sand at Home depot costs about $5 a 50lb bag. It's also very clean. No rinsing needed

play sand at lowes---3$/50lbs...
