I have mine in with an albino channel cat, but its getting too big for the tank. I would think a Lima shovel nose would be ok if it had some size on it. my jag never pays any attention to the cat. I also have a 8" common pleco with the jag (~14-15") and he never messes with it.

this is very very true. My jag is abnormally docile.

I have a "common"Pleco and a tiny Syndontis in with him now,as a matter of fact the Pleco kicked his butt for about 2 days,but now everything is cool,he never bothers the Syndontis at all.I'm just looking for 1 more cat.

no one can know for sure.

just try whatever you can get from your local fish store and see which one survives.
