Between "Ebo-Jager" heaters and "Jager" Heaters? I was looking for a new heater and read where one of these heaters is the best, but i have came across both heaters entitled Ebo-Jager and just Jager heaters. Both of these have gotton good reviews, but wondering if there was a difference or if they were the same thing. If they are different which one would you recommend? How many watts should the heater that i purchase have 250-300 watts for a 90 gallon tank?

thanks

 'New' Jagers now made by Eheim. http://www.eheim.com/jager.htm Excellent product & reputation. Personally, I would step 'down'. Run 2 150's for better heat distributition & safeguard against heater failure. If one or the other goes bad for some reason , it'll give you a little time to correct the situation before it reaches critical. Good Luck, "T"

Same thing. Great brand. Only heaters I have!

I'd rather get two smaller heaters than one high wattage heater. If one breaks and overheats, it will take longer to boil your fish, and chances that you have time to notice it are bigger

i run 2@250 watts on my 90 jagers/ebo jagers are awsome heaters but currently im running stealths wich i love just as much

ok, but a 150w is gonna cost me 2 dollars less than a 250w is. So I might just go with the 250 as a have a spare 300w in case of an emergency.

One thing to watch is that the Ebo-jager heaters no longer carry a warranty. Pet shops can no longer send these back for warranty issues. The Eheim-jager is covered.

I have been buying up ebo-jagers, because I can get them at cost at many stores now, because they are trying to get rid of them all together.
