Type in the difference between Cuban, and Jaquar in the search bar and there may be info in the threads posted. Until other experienced members chime in.

Worth is in the eye of the beholder.
The Cuban, Nandopsis tetacanthus is native to Cuba, and only Cuba. It is thought to be an ancestral species to the Parachromis of mainland Central America, being a more basal species, more or less unchanged from its primitive prehistoric ancestor, Cichlasoma woodringi.
Parachromis managuensis and others of its genus have radiated from southern Mexico to Panama, and have evolved certain characteristics that allow them to flourish in each slightly different environment. You would seldom see 2 of the same genus in the same habitat.
Cubans don't get as large as managuense, most Cuban males will top off at @ 10+", managuense will reach 16" under the right conditions. And colors are quite different, Cubans basically more white/grey and black, managuense more yellow/gold and black.
I don't have photos of my managuense pair, that was back in the 80s before I had a camera. But here are Cuban's I had not too long ago.
