The space I've got for my next tank is big enough for a 7' tank, but I haven't ever seen one for sale - only 6' or 8' ones. I know I can get a custom tank or build it myself but ideally I'd rather a standard tank (cost). I want it to be 7x3x2, and hopefully with an open-front stand so I can put a Vision cage (or 2) underneath - I have 2 632 Visions vacant.

Never even seen a 7' in my life, like you said they are all either 6' or 8'. I wonder whats wrong with 7' tanks, it is ment to be a lucky number.

a perfecto 265 is 7 ft long

I believe it has to do with cost issues and waste. When cutting glass or acrylic, the sheets come in 8x4' increments.. So if you cut your incriments in even numbers, you can possibly use some of the extra as additional pieces for the aquarium.. While cutting at 7' is costly because you would be wasting 1' of glass/acrylic with every cut..

You will pay more for a 7' tank than a 6' or 8' footer..

Hmm then I'll look into those then. Sounds like 7x2.5x2 or close to it...gonna check their site. Thanks.

Edit: Their site's under construction but I found a link to a site selling a 265...for $1300+! Ouch. Guess it might end up being a 6' after all :(

the 265 is a nice tank but its only 24 inch deep not worth buying when you could get a 6x2x2.5 and have basically the same tank glasscages would be your best bet for a good tank at resonable price

I love my 265:p

You can find them for a lot less than 1300.

I love my 215 :p but with him posting earlier that 7x3 glasscages would be the best I wish the 265 was 7x2.5x2 I'd buy 3 of them
