Would it be possible?

Of course it would. The flowerhorn has a colour gene that is from both parent cichlids or what ever it was crossed, so there must be a gene to block out the pigment.

I'm really no expert on FH, but I always assumed the aim of the breeder was to create a vibrant colour and mega humpage.

It is among other things. If there was a albino FH like anything else it would be albino usually be by accident.

exactly, its possible that it has happened and that the professional breeders culled it for lack of color.
