not really. there are less aggressive puffers. but not any that are classed as community fish. dont get attached to tankmates when you have puffers, when they snap it seriously hits the fan.
i do have a soft spot for puffers though... so i highly reccomend them to everyone. if they are prepared to take the plunge.
the least aggesive brackish puffer i can think of would be the Figure 8. they are generally nicer than most puffers, but can still have a mean streak. it all depends on the fish though, some are nicer than others. my GSP (different species but the same point applies) was fine with my common clown, fine with coral, even inverts. but most of the fish that went in ended up without a head.
bored puffers are also more likely to go on killing spree's. keep your occupied and it should behave. give it loads of decor, and re-arrange it now and then. this should decrease its boredom levels. also give your puffer loads of attention. they are really inteligent, so a little human/puffer interaction wont go amis either.
