Some one just recently told me i was "re-tarted" for keeping my ball python, who's not a year old, and is only about 20" long. Is this something i should change or not sweat?

Dont sweat it, if you can keep 5" corn snakes why cant you keep a ball python (much more beautiful snake btw). ive had mine since it was about 5" long myself and its now almost 5ft

Every animal has its own growth rate and sometimes its better to let grow slowly and well then fast and bad. If you evaluate your husbandry tecnikes and find nothing wrong with it, and your snake is eating and nice and fat you have nothing to worry about

Ok thank you. Yes my snake is eating happily and i'm feeding him about once a week. He has grown about 4 inches since i got him. Thanks for the help. Anyone have pics of their snakes?

Large mice. He's not big enough for rats yet. So i'm working on getting him bigger and making sure he's happy.

yeah when i had my girl she was probably about that size at that age, when i had to re-home her she was about 3 yrs old and about 3ft maybe a little longer(was going to an all girls boarding school that would have frowned on me bringing a snake into the dorms, saddest thing i had to do:()
