Is there anyone stocking this guy?

It's a Pterygoplichthys, I think. This shot is from an Amazon tributary. Locally they're known as carachama, and they're revered as a food fish.

I just googled Pterygoplichthys pardalis, and it's the same as what aquarium people call the common pleco? I don't think I've ever seen the armor so developed in aquarium stock.

I'm very new to the fish-keeping speak.

Their are multiple species sold under the name 'common pleco,' yours is one of them. Very easy to find, petsmart and petco always have them in stock. They get huge.

Yea he looks almost Identical to mine. Just he's a couple inches shorter

doesn't look anywhere close to either of my 2 Common Plecos, way different pattern and color, head looks different too.

Looks like my old common pleco with a hint of yellow. Definatly a nice looking pleco though.

look for a shipper getting wild commons from columbia. my lfs got a shiplent in a month or so ago and thats what they looked like
