It's a Pterygoplichthys, I think. This shot is from an Amazon tributary. Locally they're known as carachama, and they're revered as a food fish.

I just googled Pterygoplichthys pardalis, and it's the same as what aquarium people call the common pleco? I don't think I've ever seen the armor so developed in aquarium stock.

I'm very new to the fish-keeping speak.
 
Yea he looks almost Identical to mine. Just he's a couple inches shorter

Looks like my old common pleco with a hint of yellow. Definatly a nice looking pleco though.
