I just added massivore to my jag and flowerhorns diets, and the fh act weird from it. They zone out after they eat it, and usually hide or go to "sleep" it off. They also get hungry again fasterand act like addicts.

Is there some fish catnip or msg in there or what?

Seriously? That is uncool beyond belief. I just want good food. no more no less.
Yeah, but everyone swears by it. Maybe their fish are addicted to it, so they eat more than they should? Who knows, I've been trying NLS lately, and the fish don't have a problem eating that. Even the ones who hunt by scent.

honestly I love hikari and so does my soon to be 15yr old jardini and the rest of my fish. There's a reason why hikari has been around for over 100yr cuz it's good stuff oh and Neo only feeds his fish hikari.

I tried to make the switch to NLS, but my fish wouldn't have it..... they take the massivore like there is no tomorrow.... hhhhhmmmm

good to know about the MSG cuz i have 2 bags of hikari sinking carnivore coming in the mail. lol - guess my bichirs will just have to be semi between their bloodworm tilapia and beefheart diets

i feed massivore but only a few times a week the rest is nls

At first the bichir didn't want to eat the pellets. They would bite them, masticate (don't know if you could really call it that) it then spit it out. They also did this with the hikari I gave them, because they were used to fish, insects, things you can bite and swallow. The pellets were "too hard" I guess, but after not feeding them for a day and a half, they ate the NLS no problem. Haven't tried the Hikari, I have to break those up since they aren't small enough.
