so i set up this really cool litle amazon set up a while ago. i wanted something low maintenace and with a little mopre action than my african setups consiting of mostly reclusive fish. i had some problems, my corys kept dying and i finnaly figured out why, my sneaky unidentified asian rasbora was beatin the **** outa my cories, well that earned him his own tank. now that ive spent a little more time admiring my beautiful slice of the amazon ive noticed something is missing........ but what?

the current stock is the following:

4 Hatchetfish (really hard to id, but theres 3 of one kind and 1 of another)
6 Cardinal Tetras
3 Corys (2 panda 1 Juli, had 3 of each but that damn rasbora killed alot of um.....)

its filtered by that filter that comes with the 30 gallon tank kit from topfin, and its a 10 gallon tank. i know it seems over stocked but the parameters are always 0 including nitrate (its like that on all my tanks) and i do little half gallon water changes every morning.

i wanted to add like a pair of blue rams and a few ottos.......... bad idea?

You could probably get away with the ottos if you are religious about water changes, but I would leave the rams out. IMO rams need at least a 20g for a spawning pair. Do you have any live plants? That would definately help your water params. Good luck!

if you wanted a bit more movement with little waste, you could always try some small sp. of shrimp...

I will second that idea! I absolutely love shrimp!! They are such little busy bodies, always moving around doing something!! You could start out with ghosties and if you like them get some CRS or amanos.
