Is there something wrong with bichir fin

just a question. The bichir always seems to have one fin closed when he’s not swimming. Is this a problem and if so how would I fix it

If it uses the fin while swimming I don't think it's an issue.

If the fin isn't permanently clamped then it's fine

I think they had a thread here somewhere, they talked about that fins closing as a depensive strategy when a is getting bullied.

Any other poly or fish in the tank?

No other poly. But my bumble bee is a bully

Maybe thats the reason, watch it carefully when it does it, watch when the bumble bee gets close to the poly if it does it.

Hey! Does your Bichir use the fin while swimming? If so, then it’s most likely fine. I posted a thread about a couple of my polys doing this.....mine do this as a defensive behavior or if their fin is injured temporarily. If it’s injured, it will not use the fin much when swimming.
