I'm thinking about getting into the planted tanks. I've read about all the things necessary for a good planted tank. CO2, Lighting and Nutrients. I'm wondering if anyone has had success with just simply supplying the lighting and nutrients and not getting into complicated systems of CO2?

most certaintly. lots of people here do that. just search around for low light plants

Definately!!! The most expensive part of my 75 planted tank (other than the tank itself) was the T5 lightset. I haven't used CO2 (other than trying the yeast and sugar setup). My plants are thriving and currently being moved into a bigger tank. I have a Bronze Wendt that was only about 3 in in diameter when I planted it, now it has a span of around 8 inches. Honestly the most difficult part for me was remembering to make sure the Clown Loaches had a good diet of beggies to keep them from eating my plants!!!!
