Is these ray matured....

Just wondering..... these 2 ray is size at 11-12 inch in diameter

are they matured already, as this have been going on for more than 2 week's already

The male looks to be mature or very close from what i can see. He is trying to figure out how to breed, females can get beat up pretty good while he is learning. I would advise either having a divider ready or being able to move him to his own tank as she will likely need a break from him at some point. I can't tell how much damage he's done to her disk from the video.

this have been happening since 2-3 weeks ago.. most mark previously happen on top of the disc but last night only I can see he is biting the edge of her disc... He is still learning the ropes of mating i guess...hehehe
