Will take 3 in that case. Do you guys think I can raise 3 3¨ Dats in a big floating plastic box that floats on the surface of my tank with small holes in it? I would put small wood in it so that they have something to hide - because I have a ~13¨ asian Arowana in the tank, he would surely eat them.

Because unless the box is big the dats will take forever to grow to a size where the aro won't eat them and by then the aro would have grown even bigger
The box would be about as big as an ~50g tank. Should be fine for the first few months I guess. And after that I can easily let them be in the tank with a divider net between them and the Aro so that they have more space. I just want them not to have too much space when they are still quite small (3¨ isnt very big though).
