Is putting a 75 gallon tank on two tables side by side a bad idea?

How the legs attach.

I’m afraid of the weight not being distributed directly on top of the legs, and we’ll as the legs only being held in by two bolts is concerning.

Is this a bad idea to put a 75 g tank on?

If you're really worried about it then you could always get another board and a few bricks or whatnot and spread them out beneath the board so the weight gets spread out to the other legs. Overkill in my opinion but I would feel safe doing that as long as the two tables are sturdy. If you want to make the whole think more sturdy and/or spread the weight out over a larger area then you could always put a plywood board underneath the tank and tables. It wouldn't look the best just having a random piece of plywood on the floor but you could spruce it up and make it look nice if looks are of concern to you.

Canada eh
I once had a 30g on 2 side tables. It seemed to be ok for the most part. After about 8 months or so I noticed one of the side tables was starting to crack so I moved it. Maybe put a piece of plywood or styrofoam under it. I had styrofoam under mine.

Thank you, it’s nice to hear some confirmation that it will be safe
I had a 45 gallon on two night stands side by side. They were on carpet so the weight of the tank and water helped them self level.
Matteus Matteus had a good idea with distributing the weight between the two with plywood or styrofoam. I only see an issue if there is a slight height difference between the two.
